Medication Management
Thoughtful prescribing with regular check-ins and collaborative care
When medication is part of your treatment plan, we'll work together to find what works best for you.
What Is Medication Management?
Medication management is the careful process of prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting psychiatric medications to help you feel better while minimizing side effects. It's about finding the right medication at the right dose for your unique situation.
This isn't just about writing prescriptions. It's about working together to understand how medications affect you, adjusting as needed, and ensuring you feel supported throughout the process.

What to Expect
Initial Medication Consultation
We'll discuss your symptoms, medical history, previous medications, and preferences. I'll explain different medication options, their benefits, and potential side effects.
Starting Medication
We typically start with a low dose and increase gradually. You'll receive clear instructions about when and how to take your medication.
I'll also provide information about what to watch for and when to contact me with questions or concerns.
Regular Check-ins
We'll meet regularly (usually every 2-4 weeks initially) to see how you're responding. We'll discuss benefits, side effects, and any needed adjustments.
Ongoing Management
Once you're stable on medication, we'll meet less frequently (every 1-3 months) for maintenance visits to ensure things are going well and address any changes.
